What is CESS Network?
CESS (Cumulus Encrypted Storage System) is a blockchain-based decentralized storage and content delivery network (CDN) infrastructure designed specifically for Web3 apps. It is a Layer-1 network built on the Substrate framework that overcomes the limitations of existing storage systems like Filecoin and Arweave — especially when it comes to secure, scalable and fast data access.
CESS combines decentralized cloud storage with advanced cryptography to maintain privacy, control and availability of data. It uses a unique Random Rotational Selection (R²S) consensus mechanism, which makes it more secure and decentralized.
CESS has received funding of more than $8M USD so far, from major investors like HTX Ventures, DWF Labs and Web3 Foundation. Its aim is to create a strong base for the Web3 data economy.
